2022 Conference semifinals: Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns win again, extend series led

Philadelphia 76ers struggle without Embiid once more

Miami Heat took another step towards victory in the 2022 Conference semifinals with a 119-103 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 of their series in the Eastern Conference.

Tyler Herro was awarded with the Sixth Man of the Year trophy just before the series and he showed why with a quality performance. He scored 16 points off the bench in the first half for the Heat to help them take control of the game early enough. He finished the game on 18 points, while Bam Adebayo scored 23 points. Jimmy Butler finished with a double-double of 22 points and 12 assists, a good deal of which came in the second half.

Tyrese Maxey led all scorers in the game with 34 points for the Philadelphia 76ers. Tobias Harris scored 21 points and James Harden scored 20 points for the 76ers who remain without scoring leader Joel Embiid. Miami Heat now have a 2-0 lead and are in the driving seat in the series.

Phoenix Suns defeated the Dallas Mavericks 129-105 in Game 2 of their 2022 Conference semifinals to go 2-0 up in the series.

Devin Booker led the scoring for the Suns with 30 points, and Chris Paul added 28 points for them. Jae Crowder scored 15 points and Mikal Bridges scored 11 points for the number one seed in the Western Conference. Luka Doncic led the scoring in the game for the Dallas Mavericks with 35 points as they ended up losing the game.
