2022 NBA Playoffs: Klay Thompson sends Warriors into first Western Conference Final since 2019
Celtics defeat Bucks, force Game 7 in series
Klay Thompson delivered a vintage performance for the Golden State Warriors as they claimed a 110-96 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 of their Western Conference semifinals to secure a 4-2 win for the Warriors.
Klay Thompson only returned from two years out injured this season and has been trying to find his rhythm with the Warriors. The talented shooting guard led the scoring for the Warriors with 30 points while the other half of the famed Splash Bros Steph Curry contributed 29 points for the side. Andrew Wiggins scored 18 points for the Warriors, as well.
Despite their best efforts, the young Memphis Grizzlies ultimately fell short on the night and in the series, with Dillon Brooks scoring 30 points and Desmond Bane adding 25. The Golden State Warriors are through to their first Western Conference Final since 2019 when they emerged as champions.
Milwaukee Bucks lost to Boston Celtics 108-95 in front of their own fans as the visitors tied the game at 3-3, forcing a seventh game in the series.
Jayson Tatum led the scoring in the game with 46 points as Jaylen Brown scored 22 points and Marcus Smart added 21 points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 44 points and 20 rebounds but saw his side fall short in the game. Jrue Holiday managed 17 points in the game for the Bucks, who will now face the Celtics in an elimination game.
