AWCON 2016: Nigeria to play Ghana, Cameroon to face South Africa

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been drawn against arch-rivals Ghana, Mali and Kenya in Group B of the 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, following the draw made in Yaounde, Cameroun on Sunday.

In Group A, hosts Cameroun will face Egypt, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The competition, which takes place from 19 November to 3 December in Yaounde and Limbe, will have Cameroun as hosts for the first time.

Champions Super Falcons are favourites to retain their trophy and restored some pride to Nigeria’s football after recent setbacks.
