Fury tweets Scarface mock-up amid cocaine reports

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury appeared to make light of reports he has tested positive for cocaine by tweeting a picture portraying himself as Scarface protagonist Tony Montana on Saturday.

Fury last week pulled out of his proposed rematch with Wladimir Klitschko, scheduled for October 29, due to undetermined health concerns, sparking speculation he could be stripped of his belts.

It has subsequently been claimed that Fury failed a drugs test carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) on September 22.

VADA declined to comment on the results of any test when contacted by Omnisport on Friday, but Fury caused a stir with an image posted on social media on Saturday.

The photograph shows fictional drug lord Montana, as portrayed by Al Pacino in the 1983 film, reclining in his chair with bags of cocaine littered over a table in front of him.

Fury’s head has been superimposed over that of Pacino, with the post accompanied by the comment ‘#Tysonmontana’.

Fury is yet to defend the titles he won from Klitschko in November last year after an ankle injury and his latest problems led to both proposed rematches being postponed.
