AFC Bournemouth v Tottenham: Alli, Son to lead Spurs past the Cherries

By: Dehindo Timothy

Gameweek 9 kicks off with a clash  between ever-exciting minnows Bournemouth and the unbeaten Tottenham Hotspur.

Hosts Bournemouth enter this tough fixture in great spirits following thier record six-goal home victory over Hull City last weekend,  Howe’s side are unbeaten in their last three games and have moved into the top half of the table for the first time this season.

Manager Howe has continued where he left off  last season with the Cherries displaying some crowd-pleasing, attacking football while securing vital points where necessary.

Despite lack of star names with loan signing Wilshere the biggest name, they already look great value to prolong their top flight spell.

Third-placed Tottenham remain the only unbeaten team after eight league games, but the international break has somehow disrupted some momentum gained particularly from the impressive win over Manchester City,  Spurs were recently held to a draw by West Brom, a late equaliser from Dele Alli gave the London side a point on the night and kept them unbeaten.

The injury of star defender Alderweireld is a setback alongside the earlier injury of striker Kane, but Tottenham possesses quality depth all over the pitch with Wimmer and Dier more than able replacements at centreback.

Pochettino’s side got a crucial midweek European point when they drew away to  Leverkusen as they held on for so long. Pochettino was pleased with such vital point.

Spurs should still have enough in the tank to bounce back from the close shave at West Brom, with the likes of Son and Alli blazing hot.

PREDICTION:AFC BOURNEMOUTH 1-3 TOTTENHAM
