Westbrook electric again, Warriors win

Russell Westbrook continued his incredible NBA season as the Golden State Warriors claimed another win.

Westbrook took over late for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who recorded a 117-112 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday.

The Warriors made it seven straight victories, overcoming the Detroit Pistons 119-113.

Also among the winners were the Cleveland Cavaliers, who eased past the Brooklyn Nets.

WONDERFUL WESTBOOK

Thunder star Westbrook took over against the Celtics, putting up 45 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists at TD Garden.

Westbrook’s latest impressive performance marks his 14th triple-double of this still-young NBA season.

He is on pace to shatter his own career high of 18 triple-doubles in a single season set in 2015-16.

Isaiah Thomas led the way for the Celtics with a double-double of 34 points and 10 assists.

WINNING WARRIORS

The Warriors were largely comfortable against the Pistons.

Kevin Durant led the way with 32 points, while Stephen Curry had 25 to go with eight assists.

Tobias Harris had 26 points off the bench for the Pistons.

CAVS CRUISE

The Cavaliers had seven players in double digits for points in their 119-99 win over the Nets.

Kyrie Irving (13 points and 10 assists), Kevin Love (14 points and 15 rebounds) and Tristan Thompson (16 points and 11 rebounds) all had double-doubles.

The Nets were led by Brook Lopez’s 16 points.
