Report: Barcelona midfielder offered to Real Madrid
The 23-year-old has been unable to secure a place in Luis Enrique’s starting XI and has reportedly been transfer listed by Barca.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim his agent Jorge Mendes has already begun touting him to a number of clubs.
And among those is reportedly Barca’s great rivals Real Madrid who attempted to sign the midfielder last summer.
Barca’s initial £35m transfer fee is set to rise to as much as £60m with add-ons and other variables.
However, Don Balon claim Gomes’ market value is realistically around the £20m mark, meaning a £15m loss is a minimum for Barca.
Gomes has made 44 appearances in all competitions for Barca this season, scoring just three goals and providing two assists.
His current deal with the club run until June 2021.
