Go Round get Etenfa boost ahead of Akwa clash but Oghali Stays Out

The return of Go Round’s last season top scorer Ekunta Etenfa has given the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new boys a huge boost ahead of their clash against Akwa United on Wednesday.

The story is not same for former Warri Wolves forward Shedrack Oghali who will once again be sidelined for the second game of the season after failing to recover from a groin injury.

Oghali has been left out for Wednesday’s game by Go Round head coach Ngozi Elechi.

Etenfa last season netted 11 goals for ‘Dare The Lion’ in the second tier, the Nigeria National League (NNL), where they gained promotion but missed their opening NPFL tie away to Wikki Tourists following a knock on his knee.

However, npfl.ng has now been informed that the striker will be part of Go Round FC’s matchday squad for the game against the Aiteo Cup champions.

Etenfa told npfl.ng that he is excited that he has shrugged off the knee issue and is ready to make his bow in the top division this term.

He is also hoping that Go Round can get their campaign up and running against Akwa United.

“I am happy to be back after suffering a knock on the knee before the start of the season,” he said.

“I believe we have a team that can do well and beat Akwa United tomorrow (Wednesday) when we meet.”

Go Round suffered a one-nil defeat on the opening day away to Wikki Tourists in their first-ever game in the NPFL.
