Once again the Giannis Antetokoumpo the “Greek Freak” says he is a Nigerian

His athleticism, style of play, and country of birth might have earned him a name as the “Greek Freak”, but time and time again, Giannis Antetokoumpo has made it known he is of Nigerian descent and proud.

The Milwaukee Bucks forward has been tipped by NBA analysts and greats to go down as one of the best to play in the league and a future MVP because of his effectiveness on both ends of the court.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is having a tremendous season as the Milwaukee Bucks push for a playoff place in the Eastern Conference.

He is currently averaging 27.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, Giannis is occupying the 3rd position in the 2017-18 leading scorers behind Houston Rockets’ James Harden (31.5) and New Orleans Pelicans’ Anthony Davis (27.7).

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was selected as Stephen Curry’s first pick during the 2018 new All-Star format while talking with Team Stephen teammate, Joel Embiid who is a Cameroonian, during their preparation for the game declared himself a Nigerian.

“It is the African folks out here, the African fellas, Nigeria and Cameroun right here.”

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo plays for the Greece national basketball team he has never hidden his love for Nigeria as he has always revealed his Nigerian heritage.
