Bellew: Joshua does what Tyson did with smile on his face

British boxer Anthony Lewis Bellew has highlighted the similarities and differences between Anthony Joshua and Mike Tyson.

Although Bellew was hesitant to compare him with Lewis – not to mention Mike Tyson, who also reached the undisputed status in 1987 but he had his opinion on both fighters.

“When you’re talking about comparing him to some of the all-time great British heavyweights, he’s still got a long way to go to compare with Lennox Lewis in terms of legacy,” said Bellew.

Bellew did, however, compare AJ to Tyson: “He is the first heavyweight since Mike Tyson who just goes out there and delivers every single time.

“Tyson in the 1990s was doing these things to people but he was doing it with an awful lot of things going on in the background with an awful lot of negative things going on in his life.

“Joshua does what Tyson did but with the smile on his face and with the world’s media looking in on his life. I’m not saying he is Mike Tyson but he is this era’s Mike Tyson.”
