Warriors beat Cavs in a season-low points, Rockets snap Spurs streak

The Golden State Warriors outlasted the Cleveland Cavaliers in their NBA Finals rematch for an 89-83 win at Oracle Arena on Christmas Day.

The Cavaliers held the Warriors to a season-low scoring output, and the first time they were kept under 100 points at home in over a year in the regular season, but it did not stop the reigning NBA champions from moving to 28-1.

Draymond Green finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds for the Warriors, with Steph Curry adding 19 points, and Klay Thompson 18.

LeBron James scored 25 points to lead the Cavaliers, but it was not enough as their run of six successive wins came to an end.

The Houston Rockets produced their best defensive effort of the season to secure an 88-84 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

James Harden had 20 points for the Rockets as they snapped the Spurs’ seven-game winning streak.

Jimmy Butler led the Chicago Bulls with 23 points as they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 105-96.

Kevin Durant had 29 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Oklahoma City, and Russell Westbrook added 26 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, but it was the Bulls who were victorious at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Miami Heat needed overtime to beat the New Orleans Pelicans, running out 94-88 winners.

Chris Bosh guided the Heat by scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, with Dwyane Wade adding 19 points.

At the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Clippers held on for a 94-84 win against the Lakers.
