Thunder rally to beat the Nuggets, Knicks lose again

Oklahoma City Thunder railled from an 11-point defecit in the second-half to secure a 122-112 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Russell Westbrook had 30 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds as OKC bounced back from their Christmas Day defeat against the Chicago Bulls.

Kevin Durant recored an eighth double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 assists for the Thunder, who have now won 10 out of their last 12 games.

Kenneth Faried had 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggests but he could not help them avoid a fifth loss from their last six games.

The New York Knicks suffered a fourth consecutive defeat after going down 100-91 to the Boston Celtics.

Isaiah Thomas was crucial in the final stages for the Celtics, finishing with 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists in their fourth straight win.

Kobe Bryant scored 14 points in the first quarter but the Memphis Grizzlies were always in control in their 112-96 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mike Conley scored 19 points while Jeff Green added 17 as the Grizzlies overran the disappointing Lakers, with Bryant only playing two quarters due to a sore knee.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers accounted for the Sacramento Kings 98-94.
