Lakers not expecting Kobe Bryant´s shoulder injury to linger

Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour has hit a short-term bump in the road.

Bryant has a right shoulder injury that kept him out of Friday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the Los Angeles Lakers do not think it is too serious.

“We’re all just playing it by ear and seeing how he feels,” Lakers coach Byron Scott told ESPN.com. “I think we’ll take it game by game and see how he feels tomorrow and then we’ll get ready for Sunday’s game.”

The 37-year-old reported feeling soreness in his shoulder following Wednesday’s game against the Boston Celtics.

Bryant’s 2014-15 season was cut short when he suffered a torn rotator cuff in the same arm. Scott said he has not been given an indication that his current situation will be a long-term issue.

“They haven’t [said that] as of yet, so I take that as, it’s not [something] to worry about right now,” Scott said.
