Raptors break franchise record, Lakers losing streak continues

The Toronto Raptors rolled to a franchise record 10th consecutive NBA victory after a 103-93 win over the New York Knicks on Thursday.

Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points each for the Raptors, with 10 and four assists respectively, while Jonas Valanciunas added 11 points and 18 rebounds in the record-breaking win.

The triumph meant the Raptors surpassed their nine straight victories between March 22 and April 9, 2002.

Arron Afflalo top-scored for the undermanned Knicks with 20 points, the loss meaning they have now suffered four consecutive defeats.

The Los Angeles Lakers were no match for the Chicago Bulls, going down 114-91 at the Staples Centre.

Jimmy Butler was in fine form for the Bulls, contributing with 26 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

Paul Gasol hit 21 points, while Derrick Rose (16) and Doug McDermott (15) also got into the double figures.

The Lakers have now suffered nine defeats in a row, while the Bulls have won just four out of their past 11 fixtures.

The Indiana Pacers proved too strong for the Atlanta Hawks with a 111-92 victory at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Monta Ellis led the scoring for the Pacers with 25, while rookie Myles Turner added 20 points and six rebounds.

The Memphis Grizzlies produced a clinical performance to secure a 103-83 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jeff Green scored 21 points, while Marc Gasol added 15 points and eight rebounds as the Grizzlies outscored the Bucks 53-42 in the second half to seal the win.

In other results across the NBA, Ryan Anderson tied his career-high tally of 36 points in the New Orleans Pelicans’ 114-105 win over the Sacramento Kings, while Danilo Gallinari hit four three-pointers to guide the Denver Nuggets to a 117-113 victory against the Washington Wizards.
