Governor dissolves management of Nasarawa United FC
Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved the Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim-led management of the state-owned men’s football club, Nasarawa United.
The announcement was made by Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, on behalf of Governor Sule, after a meeting with key sports officials including the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Jafaru Ango, Permanent Secretary Isaac Danladi, and SSA to the Governor on Sports Affairs, Comrade Hamza Ibrahim Moyi.
The meeting also included members of the club’s management and was held at the Deputy Governor’s temporary office in Lafia, the state capital.
A new board for Nasarawa United will be announced before the commencement of the new season in August 2024.
Nasarawa United recently secured a promotion ticket from the Nigeria National League and will be among the 20 teams participating in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League.
