Victor Osimhen’s agent spotted at Chelsea, fueling transfer speculation
Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea continues to be a hot topic, as the striker’s agent, Roberto Calendar, was recently seen at Stamford Bridge during a preseason match between Chelsea and Inter Milan. This has sparked further speculation about the Nigerian forward’s future.
Despite no official confirmation, Calendar’s presence at the London club has led to increased rumors of ongoing negotiations. Chelsea has been one of the most persistent suitors for Osimhen, who had an outstanding season with Napoli, helping them win the Serie A title.
Chelsea’s new ownership has shown a strong willingness to invest heavily in top talent, and Osimhen, with his impressive performances, fits the profile of their target player. However, it’s important to note that while the agent’s visit could indicate talks, no deal is imminent at this stage.
In addition, Italian journalist Enrico Varriale has highlighted the financial challenges facing some of Europe’s top leagues, which may be complicating Osimhen’s transfer. Varriale noted on Radio Kiss Kiss, “The real problem is not that Osimhen has played a season below par, but that some big leagues are in financial difficulty. Prices have dropped, and there is less money in circulation.”
Currently, none of the potential buyers are willing to meet Osimhen’s €130 million release clause, which means he remains with Napoli as the Serie A season approaches.
