Lazio Coach Marco Baroni confirms commitment to developing Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Lazio head coach, Marco Baroni, has expressed the club’s readiness to nurture and develop Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru following his recent arrival in Rome.
Dele-Bashiru, who joined the Serie A side this summer from Turkish Super Lig club Hatayaspor, made an immediate impact on his debut last weekend, contributing to Lazio’s victory.
In a statement to Lazionews, Baroni highlighted the young player’s potential and emphasized the importance of regular training and playing time for his development. “Dele-Bashiru has great potential. He is a young player who needs to understand our style of football, and to do that, he must train and play regularly,” Baroni said.
The Lazio coach also noted that Dele-Bashiru would be given ample opportunities to grow within the team, acknowledging the presence of other talented midfielders in the squad. “We will give him the opportunity to do so. We also have other good midfielders who are improving, and the attitude is crucial,” Baroni added.
Dele-Bashiru’s move to Lazio marks a significant step in his career, as he looks to establish himself in one of Europe’s top leagues. With the club’s support and Baroni’s guidance, the Super Eagles midfielder has a promising path ahead as he adapts to Lazio’s style of play and continues to develop his skills on the pitch.
