NPFL: Nasarawa United coach reveals next target after 1-0 loss to Sunshine Stars
Nasarawa United head coach Kabiru Dogo has set his sights on the team’s next match against Kano Pillars after their narrow 1-0 defeat to Sunshine Stars.
Speaking after the match, Dogo praised his players for their strong effort despite the disappointing result. “It’s not a good result for us, but I am proud of the team’s performance. I congratulate Sunshine Stars on their win, even though it was a very tight game,” he said.
Dogo remains optimistic about the future and believes his team can recover quickly. “We will regroup and focus on our next game at home against Kano Pillars on Sunday. I believe we will bounce back stronger. Our focus is still on achieving our goals for the season,” he added.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars head coach Kennedy Boboye had nothing but praise for Nasarawa United’s performance in the game on Sunday, October 20.
Following the loss, Nasarawa United, known as the Solid Miners, have dropped to 13th place on the NPFL table with 9 points from eight games. Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars have climbed to 4th with 13 points.
Nasarawa United will aim to turn things around when they welcome fellow northern side, Kano Pillars, to the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff for the much-anticipated match is scheduled for 4 pm.
