Orlando Pirates Gives Positive Injury Update on Super Eagles Defender Ndah
Orlando Pirates have provided a positive update on Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah, who has been out injured since September 2024.
The 26-year-old center-back broke his tibia during a match against Polokwane City, which caused him to miss several important games, including the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.
According to the club’s medical team, Ndah has now been cleared to begin field-based training, which includes conditioning exercises to help with his recovery. This is great news for Orlando Pirates, who are competing in the league, Champions League, and Nedbank Cup in 2025.
Ndah’s injury also kept him from representing the Super Eagles in recent Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya, Benin, and Rwanda.
Before his injury, Ndah had been a regular player for Orlando Pirates, making 81 appearances and scoring one goal since joining the club in 2021. His strong performances have attracted interest from European clubs, leading to rumors about a possible move abroad.
As Ndah continues his recovery, Orlando Pirates will be eager to have him back, as he is an important player for the team. With a busy schedule ahead, manager Jose Riveiro will need all his players fit and ready for the challenges ahead.
