Jose Mourinho Takes a Cheeky Swipe at Tottenham and Arsenal in New Video

Jose Mourinho made a playful remark at some football clubs in a recent video where he announced that he has started his own wine brand, “The Special One.”

The 61-year-old, who is currently managing Turkish club Fenerbahce, shared the video on Instagram as part of an advertisement for his new business venture. In the video, Mourinho made a comment that seemed to take a dig at certain football clubs, particularly Tottenham and Arsenal.

He said, “Finals I’ve won them, leagues. I’ve conquered them. I have never been on the bottle, I make the bottle.”

In football slang, “bottling” means failing to win or lose courage when in a good position to succeed. The phrase “bottle it” comes from Cockney rhyming slang, where “bottle” originally referred to the “arse,” implying a loss of nerve. It’s often used to describe teams who fail to win after being in control of a match or title race.

Mourinho, who previously managed Tottenham, seemed to be referring to teams that have been known for “bottling” important moments, with Tottenham and Arsenal often being criticised for doing so in the past. Mourinho’s comment was a lighthearted jab at these clubs, with a hint of humour in his announcement of his new wine brand.
