Lamine Yamal’s Father Under Investigation in Stabbing Case

There has been an unexpected twist in the case involving Mounir Nasraoui, the father of Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, as he is now being treated as a suspect in a stabbing incident that happened nearly a year ago.
The incident took place in Mataró, a town near Barcelona where Nasraoui lives. He was stabbed and taken to Can Ruti Hospital in Badalona for treatment at the time.
Initially, Nasraoui was considered the victim, but new information from Spanish media outlet Crónica Global has revealed that the Mataró Court is now investigating him for his role in the events.
From Victim to Suspect
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in a parking lot, where Nasraoui and some friends reportedly met a group of young people to settle an earlier argument. The original dispute allegedly started when someone splashed water on Nasraoui.
According to reports, tensions quickly rose. Witnesses say Nasraoui punched one of the young men, breaking his nose. That same person then allegedly stabbed Nasraoui minutes later.
Police had to calm Nasraoui down at the scene. He was heard shouting, “This can’t be happening” and “We’ll sort this out later.”
Testimony and Legal Developments
A friend of Nasraoui has reportedly admitted that Yamal’s father was the one who threw the first punch. Because of this new testimony, Nasraoui has been summoned to court as a suspect and will give his statement on 21 July.
The case is now being treated as a possible mutual confrontation, rather than a one-sided attack.

Impact on Lamine Yamal
Lamine Yamal, who recently made headlines for his performances with Barcelona and Spain, has not publicly commented on the matter.
