Godswill Akpabio Set August 10 for Pre-Season Resumption

Godswill Akpabio United Football Club (GAUFC) has announced Sunday, 10 August 2025, as the resumption date for players ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The club’s camp will reopen on that date, with all players expected to return. Training will begin the following day, Monday, 11 August, under the supervision of the coaching crew and backroom staff.

This early return is part of Godswill Akpabio United FC’s strategy to build on the success of their debut NNL campaign and prepare strongly for the new season.

The club confirmed that 20 players from last season have been retained to form the core of the squad.

In a statement, Godswill Akpabio United FC appreciated players leaving the team:
