Siniakova emotional exit stuns Miami Open Crowd
There was an awkward and emotional end to a first-round match at the Miami Open as Katerina Siniakova left the court in tears following her defeat.
The Czech player was beaten in straight sets 6–1, 6–4 by Camila Osorio.
Siniakova fell to the ground at the end of the match, prompting Osorio to check on her. However, after a brief handshake, Siniakova quickly walked past her opponent and headed off the court.
Osorio, left confused by the reaction, tried to approach her again near the bench, but Siniakova picked up her bag and exited without engaging further.
The defeat marked a difficult exit for Siniakova, who had also recently lost to Osorio in another tournament, making it back-to-back defeats against the Colombian.
