Alcaraz: “Social Media makes you doubt yourself”

Carlos Alcaraz has opened up about the impact of social media and criticism on his confidence.

The Spaniard admitted that online comments can affect him, especially after difficult moments on court.

“Perhaps I spend more time on social media than I should, and things affect me,” he said.

“Everyone is human, and certain comments make you doubt what you’re capable of; certain defeats make you wonder if you’re good enough.”

Alcaraz explained that dealing with that pressure comes down to having the right support system around him.

“That’s where you need to have the right people around you, and luckily I have my family and a wonderful team.”

The comments come as Alcaraz continues his campaign in Barcelona, managing both physical demands and the mental side of the game.
