Nottingham Forest Receive Boost as Aina Nears Return Ahead of Chelsea Game

Ola Aina could return to action for Nottingham Forest F.C. in Monday’s Premier League match against Chelsea F.C. after head coach Vítor Pereira gave a positive update on the defender’s condition.
The Super Eagles star picked up an injury during Forest’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa F.C. in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final on Thursday night.
Aina started the game and impressed once again at right-back before he was forced off in the 75th minute after a tough challenge from Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne. He was later replaced by Zack Abbott.
The Nigerian international has been an important player for Forest this season, making 28 appearances in all competitions after recovering from an earlier hamstring injury.
Forest are preparing for an important match against Chelsea as they continue their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League. The club is currently five points above the relegation zone with four matches left to play.
Aina’s injury had caused concern because of his importance to the squad and the number of injuries already affecting the team.
However, Pereira has now suggested that the defender could recover in time for the Chelsea game.
The Forest manager said he jokingly told Aina that it was impossible for him to be injured. According to Pereira, the Nigerian defender responded by saying he would be ready soon.
The update will come as good news for Forest supporters, especially with the club also preparing for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final next week.
If Aina is not fully fit for Monday’s league match, he could return for the trip to Villa Park for the decisive European clash.
