Knicks take Control, Spurs respond in Wednesday night Playoff
The New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-102 in Game 2 to take a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
New York held off a late push from Philadelphia after leading for most of the night. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists, while Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 26 points and 6 assists.
In the Western Conference, the San Antonio Spurs bounced back with a 133-95 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to level the series 1-1.
The Spurs controlled the game throughout. Victor Wembanyama recorded 19 points and 15 rebounds. Minnesota struggled offensively.
The Knicks now head to Philadelphia with a 2-0 advantage, while the Spurs and Timberwolves move into Game 3 tied at 1-1.
