“Barcelona just getting started” – Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique was pleased with the victory over Roma and spoke optimistically about his side’s trajectory, even pointing out that they have room to keep improving – a frightening prospect for opposition fans.

The Barça boss reminded everyone that Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal are waiting in the wings and that the ‘Azulgranas’ could yet dip into the transfer market: “January is drawing closer, which is important for us because we can bring in players”.

On his side expressing themselves and the good vibes up front: “There’s nothing better than seeing your players have fun and play as a team. They enjoy training and playing together”.

On whether the ‘Azulgranas’ have peaked… potentially too early: “In such a complex sport, there are always things that can be improved on. We’re in a purple patch and we have to keep it going for as long as possible”.

A long way to go: “The players are very smart: they know we’re only a third of the way through the season and the best part is still to come”.
