Concern as Omeruo reveals it could be difficult regaining his place in Leganes first team

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has said that it could be difficult for him to regain his place in Leganes starting XI after missing out of two games after previously playing in 21 straight games.

There were concerns as to why the Eagles defender was missing in action for his Spanish outfit in their last two games and expecially in the midweek game against Real Valladolid.

Kenneth Omeruo was not in the first team neither was he listed on the bench but the Chelsea loanee has explained why he hasn’t featured for Leganes in their last two games.

“I am injured that was why I was not available for selection.

“I missed the previous match due to five yellow cards,” said Omeruo as quoted by ScoreNigeria.

Leganes have failed to concede a goal in their last two games without Kenneth Omeruo winning 2-0 at the home of top four hopeful Getafe and 1-0 home win against Valladolid.

But Kenneth Omeruo who has been consistent for Leganes is concerned it could be difficult for him to win back his place in the starting line up.

“The guy who has replaced me in the last two matches did not do badly as we are yet to concede a goal in two matches and this means that the competition in the team will be stiffer.

“Everyone wants to play and everyone is ready to give out his best which is good for the progress of the team.”
