Again, Pulisic shows why he should be a starter but does Lampard trust him?

Christian Pulisic came off the bench to help Chelsea to a 2-1 win against Aston Villa at the Villa Park on Sunday.

The American surprisingly was left on the bench for Ruben Loftus Cheek who had not played a competitive game for Chelsea in more than a year.

Nonetheless, Christian Pulisic just as he had done in the past, scored Chelsea’s equaliser just 5 minutes after coming on.

He was also involved in the winning goal scored by Olivier Giroud as Chelsea secured all points that took them five points ahead of their closest top four rivals.

Since Christian Pulisic came on, Chelsea looked the better team and he was one of the best peformers  despite playing for just 35 minutes.

Before his injury in January, Christian Pulisic scored 4 away goals in 5 away games.

In total he has contributed 7 goals, and 6 assists in 24 games played for Chelsea in all competitions more than Willian, Pedro or Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Yet, Frank Lampard would rather starts any of the above listed players ahead of him.

In fact, he plays midfielders on the wing ahead of him like he did today with Ruben Loftus Cheek and in the past with Mason Mount who is not a better winger than the American.

Frank Lampard who would have also started Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of the American if he was fit had been accused of English bias a claim he denied repeatedly.

But at this stage with all that we had seen, it is no brainer that Christian Pulisic should be a starter for Chelsea, he is a better winger than all the players available for selection for that position.

But the question is does Frank Lampard rate the American?
