Super Eagles invitee Cyriel Dessers joins boyhood club KRC Genk from Heracles Almelo

Super Eagles invitee, Cyriel Dessers has joined his boy-hood club KRC Genk from Dutch club Heracles Almelo on a four-year deal.

Cyriel Dessers who had a wonderful 2019-20 season with Heracles Almelo scoring 15 league goals to become the Eredivise top scorer completed a move back home on Wednesday.

KRC Genk, in a statement confirmed the signing of the Super Eagles invitee and said they have signed a proven goal scorer.

“Cyriel has developed excellently in the Netherlands as a footballer and as a real goalscorer, said Genk sporting director Dimitri de CondĂ©.

“He is Belgian, still young and ready to take the next step in his career. The fact that he was a supporter of our club as a child only makes it even better.”

Cyriel Dessers who will link up with his soon to be national team mates, Paul Onuachu said he has achieved his childhood dream of playing for the club he supported as a child.

“Now I’m done,“ said Cyriel Dessers

“Now I am where I want to be.”
