Jurgen Klopp responds to Germany job links
Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will tell Germany ‘nein’ if he is asked to become his nation’s new coach.
Liverpool’s manager has been installed as one of the favourites to replace the beleaguered Joachim Low in the aftermath of the 6-0 humiliation by Spain last week.
It was Germany’s biggest defeat for almost 90 years – but Klopp insists he will not walk away from a contract at Anfield that still has almost four years to run.
When quizzed on said rumours recently, the 53-year-old boss looked to play them down somewhat:
“Wow, I thought that is one of the questions I answered most often in my life!
“In the future, maybe. Now? No. I have no time, I have a job – a pretty intense job by the way!
“I’m not sure if anyone asked for me or whatever, but if they don’t know, I have a job at Liverpool. And even though the weather is bad again, I like it!
“I’m responsible for a lot of things here, so I will not go and search for another challenge. I have enough challenges after waking up in the morning!”
