Heartland stun Enyimba, Wolves bounce back. NPFL Matchday 4 round up

Kano Pillars captain and legend, Rabiu Ali converted from the penalty spot to give Pillars a 1-0 win over Plateau United in Kano with his third goal of the season. Pillars have continued their unbeaten start to the season.

Nasarawa United were held to a barren draw by Adamawa United in Gombe. Nasarawa United’s Reuben Nicodemus saw his penalty saved by the Adamawa United keeper. The result ensured that Nasarawa United remain unbeaten in the league this season.

Wikki Tourist shocked league leaders, Rivers United 1-0 thanks to a second half strike by Chinese Udeagha. Rivers stay top despite their first loss of the season.

Kwara United and Akwa United played out a 1-1 draw at the Ilorin Township Stadium. Christopher Nwanze scored a penalty for Kwara United before he put the ball through his own net barely 7 minutes later.

Abia Warriors continued their poor run of form with their fourth consecutive loss of the season. Jigawa Golden Stars came from a goal down to win 3-1 and secure their first away win in 12 years in the NPFL. Arit Archibong scored for Warriors, and Olasunkanmi Quadri and a Stone Samuel brace secured the points for Golden Stars.

Rangers International moved to second on the log with a 2-1 win over FC Ifeanyi Ubah. Israel Abia scored from the penalty spot and Shedrack Asiegbu scored Rangers’ second. Ekene Awazie scored Ifeanyi Ubah’s lone goal.

Dakkada FC and MFM played a 1-1 draw in Uyo. Chigozie Solomon gave Dakkada the lead before Temim Adebayo equalised for MFM.

Ossy Martin scored in a third consecutive league game for Lobi Stars as the played a 2-2 draw against Sunshine Stars. Mathias Samuel scored the first goal for Lobi Stars. Fuad Ekelojuoti and Sadeeq Yusuf scored for Sunshine Stars to secure a point at home.

Warri Wolves bounced back from their thrashing at the hand of Lobi Stars by beating Katsina United 3-0. Daniel Mark, Tega Ebetomame and Uche Ihuarulam scored the goals.

Heartland defeated Enyimba 2-0 in the Oriental derby thanks to goals from Adachie Emmanuel and Shedrack Oghali. It was Heartland’s first points of the season.
