Matchday 16 of the 2020/21 NPFL season is set to take place on Wednesday March 17th and Thursday March 18th with 9 games set to go on, 6 of them on Wednesday in the first round of games to take place since the opening of the transfer window on March 15th.

On Wednesday, league leaders, Kwara United pay a visit to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna to face Kano Pillars looking to pull clear of the chasing pack in the league.

Akwa United welcome struggling FC Ifeanyi Ubah to the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo after missing the last Matchday at the weekend due to the automobile accident their team suffered.

Rivers United will be looking to keep up their 100% home record at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium when they welcome MFM FC. They will be looking to move up the table with another three points in the game.

Struggling side, Warri Wolves welcome Jigawa Golden Stars to the Ozoro Poly Stadium where they will be looking to pick up all three points to try and claw their way out of the relegation zone.

In-form Abia Warriors pay a visit to bottom placed Adamawa United at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. The Umuahia Landlords are on a great run of form and will look to further climb up the table.

Heartland welcome Wikki Tourists to the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri as they look to put up an improved performance and pick up the available points.

On Thursday, Plateau United will look to recover from their defeat in the North Central derby last time out when they host Sunshine Stars, who are winless in 7 games and goalless in 4.

Katsina United welcome second placed Rangers International to their Muhammadu Dikko home looking to pick up a shock result that will take them out of danger.
