Rohr tips Nigeria to pick World Cup ticket, gives Ghana hints on how to win in Abuja
Gernot Rohr has tipped the Super Eagles of Nigeria to beat the Black Stars of Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup ticket in Abuja today.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Black Stars of Ghana go head-to-head in a winner take all clash today at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the second leg of the World Cup Qualifiers.
Ghana forced Nigeria to a goalless draw in the first leg played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Friday and today, the second leg takes place with the winner securing the World Cup tickets.
The former Super Eagles handler in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM said Nigeria who will miss Alex Iwobi should nick it but Ghana stand a chance if they do certain things.
“Nigerians missing Iwobi is not good, he is very good at giving incisive passes…“I will tip Nigeria to win 2-1,” Rohr told Accra-based Angel FM.
“Ghana have players for counter-attacks, so if they want to qualify they must use that and make sure they don’t concede.”
The clash at the Moshood Abiola Stadium will take place at 6 pm.
Nigeria will be drawing inspiration from their last World Cup qualifier game against Ghana in Nigeria, a 3-0 win at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt in 2001.
