League Champions Krane FC OUT , Akwa Ibom Grassroots League Week Seven Summary
- Super Eight playoffs to begin May 2nd 2022
The preliminary round of the 2022 Akwa Ibom State Grassroots League came to a dramatic conclusion with Onna Zone week seven matches today.
The biggest shock of the preliminary round is the elimination of last seasons Champions Krane Fc who sat on top of the standings In the Onna Zone prior to Saturday’s matches.
The 2021 league champions bowed out following a 0-1 loss to Blessed Stars Academy and identical 3-0 wins for Oxygen Fc, Unity Fc and Barracks Fc who all progress to the Super Eight playoffs.
The Onna Zone Qualifiers will now join the likes of Eagle Eyes Academy, Fullife Football Academy, Jimbo International Fc and Ikoya Fc for the Super Eight playoffs.
The Super Eight playoffs will commence on the 2nd of May 2022 meaning the Super Eight sides will have two weeks to refresh, strategies and tick all preparation boxes.

The remaining eight sides will follow the path as outlined below in their quest to become league champions.
