2022 Conference semifinals: Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns secure big wins in Game 5

The 2022 Conference Semifinals continued in Miami as Miami Heat picked up a 115-85 win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 of the series to take a 3-2 overall lead in the series.

Miami Heat delivered a complete performance in the game, with seven players reaching double figures for points in the game. Jimmy Butler led the scoring with 23 points in the game and Max Strus scored 19 points and 10 rebounds. Not to be left out of the action, D’Tigers star Gabe Vincent scored 15 points for the Heat. Joel Embiid led the scoring for the 76ers with just 17 points on the night.

Elsewhere, the Phoenix Suns claimed a 110-80 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the 2022 Conference Semifinals to go 3-2 up in the series.

After being dominated in their Games 3 and 4 defeats in Dallas, newly-voted Coach of the Year Monty Williams set up his side to maximise their size advantage, and it worked a treat as the Phoenix Suns delivered a brilliant performance. Devin Booker led the scoring with 28 points and DeAndre Ayton added 20 points for the Suns, who scored more points in the paint than their opposition. Luka Doncic scored 28 points for the Mavericks but it wasn’t enough for them at the end.
