Ibrahim Gusau replaces Amaju Pinnick as NFF president
Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has replaced Amaju Melvin as the new Nigeria Football Federation president at the NFF elections in Benin City.
The Zamfara state FA chairman beat off competitions from other contestants including the recently dissolved NFF vice chairman Seyi Akinwunmi to emerge the winner.
Ibrahim Gusau excelled in the two rounds of voting before emerging as the new Nigeria Football Federation chairman.
In the first round of votes, only Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi had double-digit votes but even his vote was way off what Ibrahim Gusau had.

According to the rule of the elections, for a winner to emerge, he must have pulled 50%+1 of the entire votes.
41 people voted, and Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau had 21 votes (half of 41 is 20.5) the rule says 20.5+1 = 21.5.
Since his 21 votes were not up to, 21.5, a rerun was scheduled to be conducted between him and Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, Mallam Shehu Dikko, Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola, and Peterside Idah.
Shehu Dikko, Abba Yola, and Seyi Akinwunmi decided to step down but Peterside Idah decided to go ahead with the rerun against Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
After the rerun, Gusau was declared the winner as he got 39 votes, while Idah could only gather 1 vote.
