NFF President: The 40 Past And Present Chairman Listed
As Ibrahim Gusau becomes the 40th chairman
Ibrahim Gusau has become the 40th Nigeria Football Federation president after a landslide victory over all his competitors which included two former vice chairmen.
The Zamfara State FA chairman had 21 out of 41 votes in the first election, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi (12)
Mallam Shehu Dikko (6), Dr. Christian Emeruwa (0), Peterside Idah (1), Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola (1)
and David-Buhari Doherty (0).
Because Ibrahim Gusau didn’t get the 50%+1 required for him to be declared the winner as his 21 votes were not up to the required 21.5, there was a rerun.
At the rerun, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola all pulled out but Peterside Idah went ahead.
Peterside Idah had just one vote again, while Ibrahim Gusau gathered 39 of the available 41 votes to be declared the new NFF chairman in Benin.
Ibrahim Gusau is the new chairman and the 40th, but who were the chairman before him?
