‘Basketball gods on Steph Curry’s side most of the time’ – Mike Brown
Nigeria men’s Basketball team coach, Mike Brown said the Basketball gods are always on Stephen Curry’s side, reports SportsRation.
Mike Brown made the statement during a post match conference after watching Stephen Curry helped Golden State Warriors to snatch a 116-113 win against his Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
The Sacramento Kings led the Warriors from the last minutes of the first quarter until 6 minutes into the 4th quarters when Steph Curry decided he and Warriors would not be losing the 6th game on the row.
Steph Curry knocked down tough shots to tie and give Warriors the lead and a close out win for their second win against Mike Brown’s Kings this season.
Curry, the reigning Finals MVP dropped 47 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds and ZERO turn overs.
Mike Brown and Stephen Curry won three titles together during his time as the assistant coach at Warriors.
But now on the other side, Mike Brown who thought his Kings would get one over his former employers, could only watch and feel what opposing coaches feel when Curry is in the mood.
“You’ve got to hope and pray he misses some shots, but he’s such a great human being, the basketball gods are on his side most of the time.”
Warriors coach Steve Ker also praised Steph Curry saying he decided they win going to win.
‘This even seemed like something special for him… that was just Steph Curry deciding we’re going to win.’
