Ex Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh insists Messi must win at least three World Cups to replace legendary Brazilian forward Pelé as the G.O.A.T.

The FIFA study group member is aware the younger generation will not be comfortable with his choice but will bank on the support of the elderly people who have seen both players to back his choice of Pelé as the greatest.

Three time FIFA World Cup winner Pelé is Oliseh’s pick as the Greatest.

Oliseh told Daily Post ” This is what everybody is getting inspiration from to excel in their football careers. His name is Pele. He is the greatest player of All Time, G.O.A.T. ”

” You cannot win three world cups, and anybody will want to compete with you. I know people, especially the young ones, will not be happy with my choice, but those of us who are elderly can identify with him.”

Pelé had won his first FIFA World Cup title aged 17 before adding two others a feat Oliseh believes has made him a rallying point for footballers all over the world and makes him the best fit for G.O.A.T status.
