Onuachu Scores 14th League Goal In Belgium
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu was on target for Genk in a 3-1 win over Club Brugge on Sunday in the Belgian league.
Onuachu scored his 14th goal of the season in the Belgian league to move Genk 10 points clear of second-placed Union St. Gilloise.
Hans Vanaken gave Club Brugge the lead in the 21st minute before Carlos Cuesta restored parity for Genk four minutes later.
Onuachu increased Genk’s lead in the 67th minute finishing off an assist from Joseph Paintsil.
Club Brugge’s Abakar Sylla was sent off for two bookable offence.
Genk quickly took advantage of the numerical advantage by scoring the third goal through Bryan Heynen to seal the maximum points.
Raphael Onyedika was missing in action for Club Brugge, while Yira Sor made his debut for Genk two minutes from time.
Onuachu is the top scorer in the Belgian league with 14 goals.
