LeBron James moved to within touching distance of Kareem AbdulJabbar’s all-time NBA scoring record after his double-double for the Los Angeles Lakers in their 112-113 defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers. James scored 35 points and laid ten assists for the Lakers. Joel Embiid led the scoring for the Sixers with 35 points and 11 rebounds, while James Harden scored 24 points and 13 assists.
Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a 112-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets in their NBA clash. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey scored 28 points each in the game as Seth Curry scored 23 points for the Nets.
Denver Nuggets defeated the Orlando Magic 119-116 in their NBA encounter on Sunday. Aaron Gordon led the scoring with 25 points and Nikola Jokic scored a triple-double with 17 points, ten rebounds and 14 assists. Markelle Fultz scored 20 points for the Magic in the game.
Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Dallas Mavericks 140-123 to improve to 21-22 this season. Damian Lillard scored 40 points and Anfernee Simons scored 20 points in the game. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 28 points for the Mavericks.
Sacramento Kings picked up a 132-119 win over the San Antonio Spurs for their 24th win of the season. Harrison Barnes led the scoring with 29 points and De’Aaron Fox added 23 points for the Kings. Jacob Poeltl scored 23 points for the Spurs.
