Awaziem scores, shines in Hadjuk Split win over Osijek

Nigerian Defender Chidozie Awaziem scored and shined in a man of the match performance as Hadjuk Split defeated Osijek 3-0 in Croatia.

His 5th goal of the season for Hadjuk Split, Awaziem opened the scoring in the 26th minute at the Stadion Poljud on Saturday evening to inspire a convincing victory.

At the back, Awaziem was perfect to keep the opposition at bay with no shots on target for a 5th straight clean sheet for Hadjuk Split.

Dario Melnak and Jan Mlakar scored the other goals to seal a 3-0 win for Split who occupy second spot on the standings 7-points behind runaway league leaders Dinamo Zagreb.

Awaziem has made 26-appearances for Ivan Leko tutored Hadjuk Split this season as they stay on course for a place in Europe club competition next season.

On-loan at the Croatian club from Boavista in the 2022 summer transfer window, Hadjuk Split will be pleased to activate the clause turning the loan transfer to a permanent deal but that will depend on the players choice with multiple clubs linked with moves for the Super Eagle this summer.
