Iheanacho returns to Leicester City training

- Massive Boost for FOXES ahead of Newcastle clash

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to training with Leicester City ahead of the crucial League clash vs Newcastle United.

Leicester City are in relegation waters and will have to win the last two games to stand a chance of survival. Iheanacho`s return represents a massive boost for manager Dean Smith as he prepares for the two-finals.

Kelechi Iheanacho sustained an abductor muscle tear as the Foxes held fellow relegation strugglers Leeds United to a 1-1 draw in April.

The Super Eagle was on for 82-minutes before picking up the injury and was replaced by Dennis Praet.

It was first thought that the injury will keep him out of the season but Iheanacho as confirmed by Dean Smith is back in training and will feature in the games vs Newcastle and West Ham.

“Kelechi was in training today and he’ll be in full training on Saturday morning,” the Manager told the media on Thursday.

“Kels has ticked all the boxes he’d need to. We’ve probably had to press the fast-forward button, but it’s needs must at the moment. ”

Leicester City will host Newcastle United in a must-win English Premier League matchday 37 clash on Monday May 22 before the final game of the season vs West Ham on Sunday May 28.
