Tobi Amusan inducted into 2023 Hall of Fame class
World record holder inducted for her achievements during and after college career
100m hurdles world champion and record holder Tobi Amusan has been inducted into the Conference 2023 USA Hall of Fame class for her achievements as a student of the University of Texas, El Paso and after her graduation from the school.
Amusan was a student-athlete in her time at UTEP, and won the 2016 CUSA Indoor Championship 60m hurdles event, helping her team secure team titles in the 2016 and 2017 CUSA Indoor Championships and in the 2017 CUSA Outdoor Championships.
She also won the 2017 NCAA and CUSA 100m hurdles events and is the two-time CUSA Track Athlete of the Year. She was named in the 2016 NCAA Outdoor All-American first team and Indoor All-American second team. Amusan was also a 2016 Olympian and was the CUSA Outdoor Freshman of the Meet.
In addition to these College achievements, she won the 100m hurdles world title, breaking the world record. She also won the Commonwealth title and helped team Nigeria win the 4x100m relay.
