CAFCC: Remo Stars defeated in Ghana but with decent chance for turnaround in Ikenne

Remo Stars Sports Club were defeated 1-0 in Ghana by Medeama FC in their CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg clash on Sunday August 20.

The Sky Blues arrived in Ghana on Saturday August 19 to face Medeama in what is their first ever CAF Champions League game.

Despite putting up a brave showing at the Cape Coast Stadium, Remo Stars fell 1-0 to Medeama FC in the first leg clash following a second half goal by Jonathan Sowah to hand the home side a slim advantage.

A decent performance by Coach Daniel Ogunmodede tutored Stars , one that presents them with a good chance of turnaround in Ikenne.

The second leg will take place in Nigeria in seven days at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne with the aggregate winners progressing to the next round of this years CAF Champions League.
