Kylian Mbappe names primary focus amidst transfer speculation
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Kylian Mbappe has emphasized that his primary focus at the moment is on securing more titles for his club rather than the ongoing January transfer window, where he is free to negotiate pre-contract terms with foreign clubs such as Real Madrid and Liverpool.
With his contract set to expire in June, Mbappe remains committed to contributing to PSG’s success in the current season.
After a victory over Toulouse in the Champions Trophy, Mbappe said as quoted by tribalfootbal, “First of all, I’m very, very, very motivated for this year. It’s very important.
” As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done.”
Addressing his contract situation and potential transfer speculations, Mbappe mentioned, “After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet.
” But in any case, with the agreement I made with the chairman [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] this summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide.”
Mbappe highlighted the importance of the agreement in protecting all parties involved and maintaining the club’s serenity amid the challenges ahead.
He added, “We managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So we’ll say it’s secondary.”
The French striker’s remarks suggest a strong commitment to PSG’s goals in the ongoing season before making any decisions about his future in the summer.
