NPFL Goal machine Robert Mizo completes Al Hilal Benghazi switch
Bayelsa United star set for Libya switch
Bayelsa United striker Robert Mizo has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal to join Libyan outfit Al Hilal Benghazi from the NPFL side this month.
Mizo helped Bayelsa United win the Federation Cup in 2021 as an NNL side before leading them into the NPFL the following season. The 23-year-old striker has been a revelation since he made his top-flight debut for the Prosperity Boys.
Bayelsa United avoided relegation from NPFL23 thanks, in no small part, to the nine goals scored by Mizo. The striker carried that same form into this season and has scored ten goals in only 16 appearances for the side.
Robert Mizo will be terribly missed by a Bayelsa United side who are rock-bottom in the NPFL standings. The striker’s goals represents 50% of the side’s tally this season, as well.
Milo joins Al Hilal, who are in fifth place in the Libyan Premier League this season. The striker will also play in the CAF Confederation Cup this season with the Libyan side.
