Five best signings of the Premier League January transfer window

The Premier League is the best football league in the world, with some of the biggest clubs competing in the English top flight. It has the highest average attendance ahead of the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1. The English league is also the richest and attracts the best players from around the world.

The sporting spectacle is another major reason that makes the Premier League everyone’s favourite. But if it ever gets boring, then the fans have the option to mix sports with betting via the meilleur code promo premier bet au Cameroun to spice everything up.

The English league also snapped up some of the best talents from other clubs in the January transfer window, and below we will look at some of these players.

1- Radu Dragusin

Everybody predicted a very difficult 2023-24 season for Tottenham Hotspur after the departure of their star forward Harry Kane to Bayern Munich. However, Ange Postecoglou has completely changed the mood around the club, with his attacking brand of football proving to be a huge hit among the fans.

The hierarchy looked clearly impressed with the work of the Australian boss as they decided to back him in the January transfer window. The Lilywhites splashed £26.7 million to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa despite interest from several other European giants. Bayern Munich and Napoli were also interested in the Romanian footballer, but Spurs beat off competition from the two clubs. Dragusin is very young and talented, and he looks to have a very bright future ahead of him.

2- Timo Werner

Timo Werner came to Chelsea with a big reputation in a £47.5 million deal in 2020 from RB Leipzig. But he failed to meet expectations at Stamford Bridge, scoring just 23 goals from 89 senior appearances. After two disappointing years in West London, the Blues let him return to RB Leipzig in 2022.

Despite his failure at Chelsea, Tottenham have taken the risk of signing the 27-year-old. Manager Ange Postecoglou believes that he can unlock the potential of the Germany international. And if the forward manages to impress during his loan spell, the Lilywhites have the option to make the move permanent in the summer for £15m.

3- Armando Broja

Armando Broja is one of the most talented players to have emerged from the Chelsea academy. The 22-year-old earned his competitive debut against Everton in 2020, and he has made 38 appearances in all competitions so far, scoring three goals. The young center-forward remained sidelined for around nine months due to a cruciate ligament injury but returned to the first team in September.

However, with Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson available, Chelsea allowed Broja to join Fulham for the remainder of the season. The Cottagers lost Aleksandar Mitrovic to the Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer, but they have now signed an ideal replacement in the form of the Albania international.

Marco Silva’s side haven’t been very impressive this season, as they languish in 12th in the Premier League table. Fulham will hope Broja hits the ground running at Craven Cottage to help them do well this campaign.

4- Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips was a key part of Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United side that earned promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. He also performed impressively in the English top flight. But the England international has struggled to replicate that form when he joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

Manager Pep Guardiola has preferred to use Rodri in midfield, reducing Phillips to only a squad player. The 28-year-old has made only 31 appearances in all competitions for City, scoring a single goal. However, he has now joined West Ham United hoping to revive his career and get back into the plans of England boss Gareth Southgate for the upcoming Euros. The Hammers have pulled off a coup by sealing Phillip’s signature, even if the loan deal includes no option to make the move permanent.

5- Morgan Rogers

Aston Villa was intent on signing Middlesbrough star Morgan Rogers. Despite having three bids rejected by the Championship outfit, Villa kept pursuing the 21-year-old. Even the most optimistic football blog fan thought a deal might not materialize, but they ultimately surprised everyone by pulling off a £15m move. Rogers began his football career at West Bromwich Albion before joining Manchester City in 2019. He failed to make his senior debut at City and was snapped up by Middlesbrough last summer.

That move worked wonders for him as well as the Championship club. He hit the ground running at the Riverside Stadium, registering six goals and nine assists in 32 appearances in all competitions. Rogers is very young and has a lot of space for improvement under a top coach like Emery. He is highly rated for his versatility as he can perform a variety of attacking roles.
