The Eagles, Crystal Palace have named a new coach, Oliver Glasner in place of veteran manager, Roy Hodgson who bids farewell due to health concerns.

In a poignant announcement, Hodgson officially announced his departure, allowing for the transition to new leadership under Oliver Glasner, who has been appointed as the next manager.
Hodgson, known for his vast experience and close ties to the club, expressed deep gratitude for his time at Crystal Palace spanning six seasons.
The former England manager said Crystal Palace has a special place in his footballing journey and expressed fond memories of the joy he had working with top-class players and staff.
Recall that 76-year-old Roy Hodgson fell ill last week and was admitted in hospital for treatment, before making the call to step down on Monday.
Hodgson said: “This club is very special and means so much to me and has played a big part in my footballing life. I have fully enjoyed my time here across six seasons, as it has given me the chance to work with top class players and staff doing what I love every day.”
As Hodgson bids farewell, Oliver Glasner assumes the role of Crystal Palace’s new head coach after watching his new charges play a 1-1 draw vs Everton hours after his appointment.
Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew said after scoring for Palace at Goodison Park: “It’s not been an easy week. There have been a lot of emotions and a lot of things said and happening.
“I can’t thank him [Hodgson] enough. He’s made me who I am today, as a player and as a man. He’s been so influential in my career.
“I spoke to him before the game, he’s a father figure for me, there’s no doubt about that. I hope he recovers as soon as possible.”
Palace captain Joel Ward told Sky Sports that Hodgson has been “integral to this club” and he will always “be a part of the club’s history”.
In the statement announcing his departure, chairman Steve Parish said the club “owe our continued Premier League status to Roy” and “Roy has the keys to Selhurst Park and will always be welcomed back”.
